Distinquished Guests

I have a terrific sister named Jennifer (Jen, to me). JEN IS TERRIFIC because she always, without fail, makes me feel like a million bucks. If I believe Jen, I am amazing. That's why I love her.

Three years ago, JEN married JOHN. Together, they are quite a DYNAMIC DUO. She is a beauty queen and he is, well lets just say, very high in the ranks of his profession (one of the top in the world). Think, James Bond.

This week, John's profession took them to yet another exotic location on assignment for the next few years. Jen flew directly to their new home with half the family and John and Jake (his son) drove through San Antonio with the other half of the family (2 dogs: Dusty & MoJo. Dusty insisted on dominating - and I think you know what I mean- our dog, Rusty. Rusty hasn't been the same since they left, I think he needs counseling).

We were lucky enough to host them for 2 days. We had a great visit. While John casually shared stories that would make great movie plots, Steve and I dazzled him with weather and real estate news. Jake helped Steve learn amazing (translation: legally questionable) computer skills.

Yes, JAKE is a JACK SPARROW look-alike.

We LOVE YOU GUYS; it was a wonderful visit and we hope y'all come back soon! (Rusty requests that you please leave Dusty home next time :)

So Jenn can ad "BOND GIRL" to her resume. Very nice.
Jake helped me with a tricky itunes problem. Thank you very much, Jake!
When and if John retires he should write his experiences down. Heck, Jenn could turn them into best sellers. That would be cool!

John and Jake just loved their visit, and Jake informs me that now that we're in a foreign country, those "silly internet licensing laws in the U.S. don't apply"...hmmmm...I think this is one question I won't dig into too deeply...

I am loving your blog! I also agree totally with what you wrote about how generous Heavenly Father was to provide us with such a beautiful world...I've always said, "Hey, He COULD have made the whole earth look like Nevada...!" (No offense to my Nevada friends, but you have to admit...

Love, Jenn (aka "Bond Girl")

About Me

My photo
I married my high school sweetheart 34 years ago in the LDS Temple. I have 4 children (3 married, and a 14 year old) and 6 grandchildren. I lived my entire life in California, until 6 years ago. I now reside in San Antonio, Texas. The most important thing to me is my family; I have invested the most in them and it has paid great dividends. I love doing anything creative that beautifies my surroundings and I love nature. I minored in Art and majored in Interior Design at BYU, yet, my profession is a Tax Preparer.
