I love hands,
they are so expressive.
I particularly love my mother's hands
and I'm overwhelmed with gratitude
for the service they have provided me.

Valentine's Day is about love
and I have a lot of it in my life,
a dear husband,
who is my eternal Valentine,
my children, and extended family.
Of all my loves,
it is my mother who was my example of how to love,
my children, and extended family.
Of all my loves,
it is my mother who was my example of how to love,
openly,
and with gusto.
Not withholding,
and with gusto.
Not withholding,
without expectation or conditions,
and with true forgiveness....
like Christ.

May all of you,
have a truly loving and
Happy Valentine's Day

Simply special! ... This simple act of connecting your hand with your mothers, in the shape of a heart, is so beautiful, meaningful, and precious. Especially on lace, which is so the personality of your mother; delicate, beautiful, and pure. Whenever I was around my dear Aunt Toni (Naomi), I too noticed her hands.. They are pretty hands, and I liked how she used them to express herself. She too, for me, was my example of how to love. All of our family always looked forward to being with her. We wantd to be near her. There is something in her countenance. I liked it when she would place her hand in mine, and say "Dear little Lynne, dear cousin Lynne." I felt special.
I agree that grandma is so very loving. I think she is where you and your sisters and all of your offspring get our love of nature, animals and other people. I love that hand picture; the lace, like Lynnie said is so quintessential grandma Nana!
So true of our dear mother! She is the closest I have ever seen to true Christ-like love and purity of heart. I feel so lucky to be her daughter. I love the hand-photo--just beautiful.
I love that picture♥ Happy Valentine's Day to you~ sweet post.
