Mike and Marci have some wonderful family photos

the photos inspired me to paint for Marci's birthday
(the original photos can be seen in my last post)
I tried a simplified version of my usual painting style
with a little added whimsy.
then, I couldn't get this photo out of my head
so I had to paint it too.
I popped the color on the background
and I like the interplay of complimentary colors
At 11" X 14", they are smaller than I usually paint
and I am very pleased with how they turned out.
both were painted with lots of love
of subjects I love lots

Thank you all, for such lovely comments. My art is very personal to me, and posting it always makes me feel a little exposed. I do what I love to do, but validation is very gratifying.
