Last night, at 2:30am,

we received the call no parents ever want to get.

Our dear little Wyatt, just 10 days old, passed away.

Steve and I are in Oklahoma City now with Brittany and Ili

to bring whatever comfort we can offer.

Our hearts are broken.

My daughter in law, Marci, wrote a lovely tribute that you can read HERE

I am not ready to say anything more

except this:

Our knowledge that he is now with our Father in Heaven

is like a lifeline

until our hearts mend, and we can join our precious Wyatt once again.

My heart is so heavy, but also comforted by the knowledge that little Wyatt is in the Savior's arms, and that we'll see him again.

This is all unbelievable. I just don't know what to say. How grateful I am for the gospel of Jesus Christ, but it doesn't make the heartache go away sooner, it does give us all something to hope for - to be with your family for eternity. I'm so sorry for your loss at this time - Wyatt has a lot to do on the other side. He is a special spirit, a stripling warrior, called back home to complete his work.

I'm heart broken and so sorry. I've typed, deleted and then typed and deleted again because everything I think to say just seems inadequate. Tell Brittany I love her. I'm sad I don't live closer in order to hug and mourn with her.

I am shocked!
I just got back from Utah last night, and today opened your blog to get caught up, and to have some usual moments of relaxation viewing an 'Artist's View'. What sad news... I don't want to think of Ili and Brittany without their Wyatt. Everyone was excited for their joy. Now, we have compassion for their saddness.
Will you be sharing what happened? I am so sorry. I'm grateful that you and Steve are their for them. They, I know, will lean on and appreciate your love.
