Ready for the reveal?
I love this room, it is sunny, peaceful and airy.
I adore the pine furniture against the gray walls,
so serene.
We purchased the antique pine pieces at auction, over 20 years ago
and though the pine craze is past,
it seems to have found a place among traditional classics.
This is my bed, I LOVE it
I asked Steve if there was any way in the world
he could build me a white version of it.
(yes, he is amazing)
mirror and chandelier, Ikea
(fun shopping day with Chrissy)
burlap shams, diane
beautiful sticks, from our back forest
Monogram Pillow, hand towel, and black basket,
Restoration Hardware
Steve's Jr Hi bowl
filled with keepsakes from our travels
monkscloth drapes, diane
vintage photos
my great grandparents (Brazos, TX 1880's)
Little ballerina, charcoal drawing by Meema
(inspired by this wonderful photo by Marci)
Finished just in time for our first guest;
Josh Pratt arrives tonight.
Hope he doesn't mind the chandelier,
Steve says, "it's more feminine than I expected"
It's in style, Steve. deal with it.

I LOVE IT!!! It looks like a peaceful resort suite. I hope Josh enjoys it, say hi to him!
I LOVE the white and pine on the gray walls. It looks like such a calming room.
Any chance Steve wants to post plans for that bed?
You are very brave putting this room up on your blog ;.)
Do you realize how many others will be coming to visit ;.)
Beautiful very inviting and relaxing.
Love the pictures

Oh and I also love the Addie charcoal. I thought that picture was so beautifully artistic when Marci posted it.
Oh, it turned out sooo nice! I LOVE how it all goes together and Addie will be thrilled to see her picture :-)!
(and I like chandelier too :-)
I wouldn't have thought that gray walls could look sooo good!...I agree with Brittany it looks like a resort suite.
I. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE IT!! Beautiful! Can you come to my house next!? Oh it's gorgeous! Turned out perfect. Josh is ONE lucky man! I'm pretty jealous of him!
Beautiful!!
SO great, Mom. I absolutely love it! And the chandelier looks so good! It was a risky move and you pulled it off perfectly!
Michele, I'll share the "how to build" the bed (there are no plans for this one). Just shoot me an email at stevefreeman101@gmail.com
I just got back last night from a trip, and I was so anxious this morning to check out your blog to see if you had your new room completed, ... and it was! I love it! It's beautiful and peaceful, and well-balanced with the items you have. Steve did a great job with the electrical, crown molding, and bed-building task. You did an artistic job with the elements you used. Did you have this picture in your mind before you began? This is what I think I should do for our master bedroom!
HI Lynne! yes, this is the vision I had for the room prior to starting. I love it so much I have seriously considered doing this in our master bedroom too. Thanks to you ....and everyone....for the compliments!
I LOVE it all! You and Steve are such an amazing team. Are you taking reservations? :)
