Ready for the reveal?

I love this room, it is sunny, peaceful and airy.

I adore the pine furniture against the gray walls,

so serene.

We purchased the antique pine pieces at auction, over 20 years ago
and though the pine craze is past,
it seems to have found a place among traditional classics.

This is my bed, I LOVE it

I asked Steve if there was any way in the world
he could build me a white version of it.

(yes, he is amazing)

Finished just in time for our first guest;

Josh Pratt arrives tonight.

Hope he doesn't mind the chandelier,

Steve says, "it's more feminine than I expected"

It's in style, Steve. deal with it.

I LOVE the white and pine on the gray walls. It looks like such a calming room.

Any chance Steve wants to post plans for that bed?

SO great, Mom. I absolutely love it! And the chandelier looks so good! It was a risky move and you pulled it off perfectly!

I just got back last night from a trip, and I was so anxious this morning to check out your blog to see if you had your new room completed, ... and it was! I love it! It's beautiful and peaceful, and well-balanced with the items you have. Steve did a great job with the electrical, crown molding, and bed-building task. You did an artistic job with the elements you used. Did you have this picture in your mind before you began? This is what I think I should do for our master bedroom!

HI Lynne! yes, this is the vision I had for the room prior to starting. I love it so much I have seriously considered doing this in our master bedroom too. Thanks to you ....and everyone....for the compliments!
