I loved, so much, what new pillows did for my living roomit inspired me to sew for my bedroom.I changed Fall/Winter 2009into
Spring/Summer 2010I must have purchased 30 down pillows over the years;
I never have to buy another pillow as long as I live,just keep recovering the same old ones.It is amazingwhat a few dollars, Hancock Fabrics, and a sewing machinecan do for a roomI sewed these four days ago;
every time I walk into my room I am surprised all over again

I seriously think the best class I ever tookwas 7th grade Homemaking:

They are beautiful!!!
I need to learn how to make pillows!
:)
I love the colors and how you accented it with the beautiful floral--you are giving me ideas!
I love it! I love anything that surprises you (for the better) each time you encounter it. Looks like your home ec class also taught you some helpful arithmetic.
I wish my sewing classes when I was young stuck with me like that! I love the new colors, it makes a huge difference!
I saw a striped fabric like yours a few months ago at Walmart on clearance but I had so many projects going on at the time that I couldn't justify buying it. I am kicking myself now, I want to use it in my bedroom and they have stopped carrying fabric at our Walmart.
Your bedroom looks great. I would be pleasantly suprised each time I walked by too!
Michele, I got all of the other fabrics at Hancock, but the stripe was from Walmart. I think Chrissy and I are the only ones who buy that stripe (she made pillows too), it has been there for a couple of months at least. There was still some left, do you want me to get it for you....I think it was about $6./ yard.
Our Walmart considered taking out the fabric department and I was so sad, then they said it is doing well, so they decided to keep it. Yay!
Love it Diane!
Yay! Do you remember how wide the fabric was?
It is at least 48-50" wide, judging by what I made and what I have left over.
That would be great if it isn't an inconvenience! I basically want to do the same thing you two did with it. Two and a half yards? maybe three?
Thanks! I'm so excited!
Okay Miss Michele, I have good news and bad news:
bad news: it was $8.99 / yard, not $6.99
good news: they had exactly 3 yards left and I got them for you.
I am happy to mail it to you, if you will give me your address. or, if by any chance it is more than you wanted to spend, I can take it back. no prob. I go to Walmart twice a week. :)
Beautiful! Love them! You're so creative!
Yay! When I saw it at my Walmart it was $2 a yard on clearance:( Should have gone with my instincts. Oh well.
We are leaving on a week long camping trip tomorrow so I won't be able to get a check out to you until we get back. Do you mind holding on to it until then?
Or you could send it and then let me know what shipping was (cheap and slow is fine by me!)and I'll just send one check for both.
Thanks so much! I'll email my address.
