There is an irritating bird outside my bedroom window
.

At 5am this morning, I had a few choice words for him.

He was not blessed with a beautiful song;

though I certainly can't fault him for trying.

He sings just one note.

three times, pause, three more times,

over and over and over.

After 2 hours of it,I got up,

went straight to the piano;

the note, still quite fresh in my mind,

is f sharp.

f# f# f#

f# f# f#

f# f# f#

......and so on

for hours.

I need a b b gun.

f# f# f#

f# f# f#

f# f# f#

pow.

I don't want to hurt you, little bird

.....just go sing somewhere else for pete's sake

I know what you're thinking... 10:53 and no comments? :-)

I ALWAYS do that :-)

f# is NOT a lovely note. You've seen Failure To Launch...

That's funny - we had a bird in Fremont that would do the same thing - right outside our window of our bedroom. We also had one that would run into our window almost every morning. Crazy. Sound asleep and then BAM! I woke up grumpy on MORE than one occasion.

Hope you find a bb gun!

It's not just f#. It's a LOUD f#. Once you become aware of it you can no longer sleep. Forget BB gun, I want a 12 gauge shot gun. So I just have to aim in the general direction of the sound to make it stop. On second thought a shotgun is not such a good idea. Especially on nights when you'd like my snoring to stop.

It would be so much more pleasant if it work E#, making it F :-) I love that you went to the piano to identify it.
