I have learned that Zach loves Texas football and as strong as he loves it he hates O.U. football. When I heard that the 2 teams were going to meet and play in a game called the "Red River Shoot-out" I had to be there.

Both the game and Zach did not disappoint.

Zach really should be a Color guy for Texas football, he is much better than the one on TV.

3 things I remember most from the event about Zach.

#1 loss of sleep the night before. (armchair QB)
#2 loss of appetite during the game (we had Rudy's BBQ)
#3 bleeding fingers after the game. (There was a lot of clapping)

GOOD TIMES, REALLY GOOD TIMES

Unbelievable. I'm so glad you guys had a good time. I love that Zach is SO in to football. I blogstalk him sometimes and it's amazing how excited he gets about all sports and the military. He seems like a wonderful guy and he and Chrissy look so happy together. Too cute.

that really was a glorious day...so many aspects came together to make it so much fun...the anticipation and excitement, the absolutely beautiful weather...the red river rivalry was meant to be played on days like that...cool air, puffy white clouds in that big ol blue Texas sky....then we had the delicious bbq, the Texas decor, people showing up in burnt orange is very much appreciated on a day like that...it's fun to share victories like that with family...and of course, a victory from the horns didn't hurt in making it a great day. and to see it all end with colt mccoy and mack brown singing the eyes of Texas....this right here is the epitome of good times.

I want to relive that day over and over. I didn't want the party to end! So fun :-)

So here's the report from OKC: We went to dinner the night of the game where all the servers were in OU shirts. I said that I should have worn a UT shirt and the servers joked (I think) that I would have gotten some saliva in my drink. Then today I opened my YW lesson with "Hook 'em horns!" I was immediately rebutted with excuses why OU lost. "The score says it all," I said and got on with my lesson. I wish I could have been there in TX in the same room as Zach to watch the game.
